[RMT] Lame Rave Party |
|
Yaaay it's a sandstorm team! A couple of the Pokes are the same as the ones from WiseLugia's old sandstorm team, except changed around a bit. Gogo C&C please. DJ Darude Tyranitar @ Lum Berry Ability: Sand Stream EVs: 252 Def/4 Spd/252 SAtk Lax nature (+Def, -SDef) - Pursuit - Ice Beam - Stealth Rock - Thunder Wave Lolwut. As weird as it may be, this TTar can give Breloom a humiliating death and Pursuits Azelf leads to death. It can also KO the standard Hippowdon and Gliscor with Ice Beam before either one KOs it with Earthquake. I needed something to use Stealth Rock, and it just fit better on this Poke than any other. Thunder Wave is mostly just a filler. The main reason it's even on my team is for its Sandstream ability which this team revolves around. Psytrance Bronzong @ Leftovers Ability: Levitate EVs: 252 HP/200 Atk/56 Def Relaxed nature (+Def, -Spd) - Earthquake - Gyro Ball - Light Screen - Hypnosis Light Screen helps to combat the common Surf weakness of most Sandstorm teams, while Gyro Ball and Earthquake can deal heavy damage to most sweepers. Hypnosis is always great for disabling a potential threat for some time. Raver Garchomp @ Choice Scarf Ability: Sand Veil EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Outrage - Stone Edge - Earthquake - Fire Blast Revenge-killing Scarfchomp. Outrage and Earthquake deal heavy damage to just about everything that doesn't resist the attacks, and Fire Blast is for the Forretress that feels like switching in. Stone Edge is mostly filler, though it does deal a little more damage than Outrage does to Gyarados if it hits. Ecstasy Jirachi @ Leftovers Ability: Serene Grace EVs: 252 HP/252 Spd/4 SAtk Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Psychic - Thunderbolt - Calm Mind - Substitute CM Jirachi with 101 Subs that can sweep entire teams if they're unprepared for it. It wins over Blissey, so it's awesome. Glowsticks Heatran @ Choice Scarf Ability: Flash Fire EVs: 4 Atk/252 Spd/252 SAtk Mild nature (+SAtk, -Def) - Fire Blast - Hidden Power [Ice] - Explosion - Earth Power Choice Scarf Heatran that can deal heavy damage to a lot of things, especially if they don't know it's Scarfed. Explosion if Blissey becomes a problem. Overdosed Regirock @ Chesto Berry Ability: Clear Body EVs: 252 HP/4 Atk/252 SDef Careful nature (+SDef, -SAtk) - Drain Punch - Ice Punch - Curse - Rest A late-game Curserock. Once its main threats are gone, this thing can be pretty difficult to KO. Curse, Chesto-Rest and punch away. Common threats Gyarados (bulky) It's pretty easy for Bulkydos to sweep my entire team once it gets 1-2 DD's in. All I can do is switch to Jirachi as soon as it comes in and use Thunderbolt. Jirachi can take an 2 unboosted EQs or 1 EQ after a DD, but nothing more. If I lose my Jirachi early on, I'd really have nothing. Swampert A mixed version is especially threatening since Regirock can't wall it either. I was considering Grass Knot on Bronzong or HP Grass on Heatran, but that would create even more holes to fix. Sub-punching More specifically a Breloom that switches in on Bronzong or a Tyraniboah. I have to rely on Garchomp to take out the sub, and Garchomp isn't exactly a wall.

Another threat to think about is Scarfed Rampardos (lol).
But for a sandstorm team, I think you've minimalized the weaknesses as much as possible. -------------------

Shouldn't Tyranitars Nature be +def, -Atk?
I mean just because you like Def for it doesn't mean you soulg neglect sp.def. ------------------- Fun Awaiting Moderation For Life More Fun

I'd have to put enough speed EVs on TTar to outrun base 60's if I gave it a -speed nature, so I just used a -sp.def one. I think it's time to go make a hail team lol.

I REALLY like that Tyranitar. Very unique team, at least to me. I like it a lot. So much synergy it makes me think about what I'm actually trying to do with mine, good job. Sorry, no criticism. Like the names by the way. Techno time *bmm chh*

- sp. def for t-tar? focus blast or aura sphere means uber damage...+ lucario gets sandstorms benefit also....

It's not like TTar would be staying in against Lucario anyway. And yeah I tried making a pseudo-hail-stall team on Shoddy, which failed miserably. =\

Not really... Hail teams are at an infinite disadvantage in fact. =\
Fire weak, rock weak, fighting weak... all attacks that sand teams have. -------------------

You can't get trick room into a hail team without adding something that takes hail damage. =\
Really, Hail team is terrible. -------------------
