Anyone think they could Devamp Torkoal?

Here's my try at it using the Red/Blue Charizard colours:



One has the smoke outlined and one doesn't. I made one of each because one blends in more than the other.

what does devamp mean?

A devamp is when you take a newer sprite and colour it down with the two-color palette of G/S/C or the two-shade palette of R/B/Y. In this case, taking the Torcoal sprite and colouring it to look like it is from the older games.

I really like that It looks very realistic IMO - like it could be a real thing - the only thing I'm not sure about is the orange Entei? bit on the face...it seems to draw the eye's attention a bit much...but I'm not sure making it the blue/purple colour would be right either...hmmm

The Tyrannitar one is great! The wings work so nicely and I prefer the Breloom? tail to the ordinary one - nice job

I don't really like the Dratini one...the joining of the tail doen't look great and I'm not keen on the colour really either...

Ha and I really like the last thing - it's strange - the face gives it a really odd effect but one that works really well Great job again with that one

Aww they're really cute even with a bone They look nicely done too It almost look like a male + female form for it Although personally I prefer the blue tailed one, I think the pink may work better due to the blue tail blending in with body a bit perhaps and the matching tail and head crest thing is nice as well I suppose

Can I have some opinions on these recolours please?



It's for the Diamond contest

The first one was more of an original recolour (Rapidash and Absol) but I have to use 4th gen so this isn't allowed, although I think it looks best
The second is a Cresselia recolour which looks a bit sickly IMO
Next is a Cherubi one - there was no separate colour for the mouth here and the white doesn't really look right...
And then the bottom two are Abomasnow recoloured, which I think I prefer to the other two...

So yeah, any preferences? All opinions will be welcome

Oh and could somebody give an opinion on Samkuro's 2 sprites as well - he also would like opinions on the colour

It's a scratch based initially on a Dolphin - it's the first scratch I've done...is it good enough to enter with do you think?
