Thanks to the various Mod's of the Pokemon Diamond Forum and with the help of previous judges, the Diamond Sprite Contest has been a great success, just reaching past it's 65th round and 19th thread. This contest is a place for spriters and fusers to come so they can test their skill against others. They must follow the guidelines of the current theme and obey the rules set by the contest. Abiding by the rules is crucial for your sprite to even be judged, so make sure you don't break any of them. Remember, this contest is for experienced spriters, so newbies to spriting may have a tough time keeping up. ------ Rules Abide by the Forum Rules and Sitewide Rules. Membrating, Spamming, Flaming, Advertising, etc, can all result in a ban from the contest and depending on the circumstances, possibly the forum. This thread is not a gallery! Do not post any sprites in here unless it is your entry for the round! Posting other sprites can get you in trouble if done repeatedly, because it is basically spam. Do not plagiarise or steal someone else's sprite and enter it as your own. You will get caught, and will be punished. You can only enter one sprite per round unless specificly told that you can enter more. Your first sprite will be accepted, entering another sprite after could cause you to get disqualified. Do not edit your entry post! Even if it is just to fix a spelling mistake, add info about what parts were used etc, do not do it. This is to prevent people from editing their entry after they've already entered it. Please be patient when waiting for judging, the judges are sometimes busy. Continually nagging or flaming judges will result in a punishment. This contest is for fun, don't be too serious, have fun. ------ The Current Judges Squirrel Lord wilson7555 ------ Tournament Spoiler: Cancelled Tourney Information: The tournament will run for 10 weeks The main tournament will be a round robin, with all 8 people versing each other once, with 2 team rounds, similar to that of the recent GPF TC Tourney. The tournament will run at the same time as the normal contest and be done over pm, with judging posted in this thread. Try your best each theme, challenge yourself even if you don't feel confident you'll win Round 2: Themes: HiHi vs. Corey13 1. Retype a Ground Type Pokemon as a Flying Type Pokemon armless_man vs. wilson7555 2. Retype a Steel Type Pokemon as a Grass Type Pokemon white_knight319 vs. Pheonyx 3. Retype a Ghost Type Pokemon as a Rock Type Pokemon Ophion vs. Artirtico 4. Retype a Water Type Pokemon as a Electic Type Pokemon You can use dual typed Pokemon, but you can't use a Pokemon with the dual which is the two types set in your theme. Eg. Retype a Water to Electric, you can't use Lanturn, lol. Due: 30th July Remember if you need an extension you must ask 2 days before this date or earlier. 	sorry i think i'm not going to enter this contest, scratching almost a whole pokemon is still a little bit too hard for me, i'll practice scratching more and become better at it for contests like this one,

	What i'm confused about with scratchs is how do you know how much darker to make the shades and how much lighter to make the highlights. Can anyone help me on this? Slawter

I really like it, but if I saw that in the Wild I would think it was an Ice/Grass type. Maybe make the fur a different color like yellow. Other than that, it looks amazing. Does anyone have spriting tutorials I can use? I want to get into it, but my work kinda stinks D:

	If I changed the green to yellow, it wouldn't represent the green lanturn, now would it? Lol. And you would never see this in the wild anyway.
