Complimenting colours can just mean that they look good together ><; This was a pretty bad theme and judging in my eyes, if so many people got Auto-F's because of lack of communication and clarity.

Edit: Also look at the outlines on all of the Pokemon. Nobody should have passed in this round at all.

I too spent quite a while on that card, so may I ask, were the rules not clear enough, because I feel as though I did it right, I used two colors, white and blue.

Mean it next time, 'kay? Learn some respect or at least act like you've got some.

Now, could you please tell me why the cards that failed, failed? It's really not helpful to just say "This failed. NEXT." I'd like to consider a loss of a competition to be a learning experience.

but forthbeat is right about the theme. it could have been explained better. especially the bit about the complimentary colours.

By complimentary, I meant two colors that go well together, not two shades of any one color. I meant black as a main color used in your card. I'm not going to re-judge, and that's all the explinations i'm giving through posts. PM me if you have a problem with my judging style or theme.

I don't necessarily have a problem with your judging style or theme, I have a problem with the way you communicate something as vital as the theme. How were we supposed to know what you meant by no black, or complimentary. A judge should be able to give clear instructions so people don't have to ask for clarification. It would save not only the participants time, but yourself as well.

.:: - Damn FourthBeat, it's a freaking contest, the theme was clearly explained, you were to recolour the card with two complimentary colours of one of the pokemon you used in the card, 3 dragon types should've been used and the other three pokemon should be Kanto pokemon, and black should not have been one of the colours that was put into the card, you can't help outlines being black. - ::.

No, I think the complimentary part confused the half of us, since complimentary can mean two different things, and it wasn't clarified which one she meant.

I thought it was pretty simple, I didn't enter because I had no time to enter. I must admit, Complimentary could just mean two nice colours, but I thought it was fairly obvious that they were two colours that go. whether they were contrast or two shades of the same colour. - ::.
