Vinateri has always struggled in his Career in Domes, Wait where does Indy play, a Dome. BTW Vandershank isnt coming to Foxboro after all he has said.
Unfortunately you are sadly sadly mistaken about Adam Vinatieri... he's converted 31/31 FG's indoors which is 100% [34/36 in postseason, still 94.4%].

They also contacted Vanderjagt on Tuesday to arrange a meeting, but according to westhamfan2806 Dallas found him first.

NEW YORK (AP) -- Now that the Jets have two first-round picks, they might consider using them to make a trade in the draft next month.

Though general manager Mike Tannenbaum wouldn't discuss the team's strategy heading into the draft, he said the organization has added flexibility with two No. 1s. The Jets have the No. 4 overall pick and acquired the No. 29 selection from Atlanta in exchange for Pro Bowl defensive end John Abraham.

"Having flexibility, there are some scenarios that are out there," Tannenbaum said Wednesday on a conference call. "Similar to previous drafts, we'll see what opportunities are presented to ourselves. We can package them and move up or we can move back if we feel that's appropriate."

Speculation has centered around the Jets making a deal with New Orleans to move up to the No. 2 spot and take Southern California quarterback Matt Leinart. Even though the Jets traded for Patrick Ramsey to challenge Chad Pennington for the starting job, the Jets might want to draft a franchise quarterback to pilot the team for the future.

Ramsey only has one year left on his contract, and Pennington is up in the air because he is coming off his second major operation on his right shoulder.

"There's a lot of speculation out there," Tannenbaum said. "Our college scouts have done a great job of evaluating a lot of these players. We'll be prepared when the draft arrives. We've looked at some scenarios already."

Pennington is back at the team's practice facility in Hempstead, participating in the offseason program. Tannenbaum said the Jets have 100 percent participation from every player under contract. Pennington had been rehabbing in Sarasota, Fla., but vowed to return to New York for the program.

Though Tannenbaum didn't say whether Pennington was throwing, the quarterback said March 5 he had already begun tossing the football.

The Abraham deal was made official Wednesday after the league approved it. Atlanta and Denver swapped No. 1 picks so the Falcons could get their man. Tannenbaum said he was sorry to see Abraham go, but was happy with the deal.

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (March 23, 2006) -- Bears cornerback Jerry Azumah retired because of neck and hip pain the past two seasons, ending a seven-year career with Chicago in which he made the Pro Bowl in 2003.

Jerry Azumah had 365 tackles and 10 INTs in seven seasons with the Bears.

The 28-year-old Azumah missed most of the preseason after minor hip surgery and lost his starting job to Pro Bowl selection Nathan Vasher in the final year of his contract.

re: NFL THREAD

With Vanderjagt, I think Dallas may have finally found a solution to its kicking woes (Billy Cundiff, need I say more?). Add that to the signing of TO, and the Cowboys have clearly made some major transactions thus far, even if they're a bit on the pricey side.

The retirement of Azumah will pretty much free up a bit of cap for the Bears, but that takes their nickel back and kick returner away, which was an issue this year (Bobby Wade, I'm looking your way), which they'll have to deal with this season. Brian Griese will definitely bring that veteran experience to the quarterbacks corps for the Bears. Now, if Grossman can just stay healthy and not break a bone or tear a ligament this year, they should be fine.

Mr. Clutch, Vinatieri, has been historically poor in domes (despite him delivering the game-winner over the Rams a few years back in the Superdome), but I think he'll do well this year (as I'm certain he'll be on the field a lot... not for PAT's, though).

According to ESPN.com, Keyshawn is now on the Panthers. w00t! They have a better receiving core now that they have Keyshawn to throw to.

Oh great, heres whats going to happen. Jake Delohmm is going to be in the NFC Championship, hit Keyshawn to at the 6 and Keyshawn is going to drop it and then bitch out Delohmm on the sideline that he threw him the ball with a defender within 3 yards.

BTW; it makes me sick to see Vinateri in a different uniform...

you dont know that for sure but i think the panthers are going to be in the NFC championship game and use the mix of run using keyshawn then hitting smith for the big one and run a few misdirections to throw the defence off balance. thats what i think might happen

You're the second to say this for some reason. But as I said before...

He is also 11/11 perfect in the RCA Dome.

That depends on how fast the defense is, what scheme they're using (4-3, 3-4, Cover 2, 46-Bear, Dime, Nickel, Quarters) and how they run it (Zone, Blitz, Man-to-Man).

Chad, thanks for the stats.

If it hasn't been mentioned, the Seahawks just closed a deal with Tom Ashworth to replace Hutchinson. Not a bad deal.
Welcome to Seattle, Mr. Ashworth.
