And my friends, we have travelled that thousand miles. After many false alarms and many close to death situations, The Star Wars Battlefront 2 Forum has officially died along with any hope of Star Wars Battlefront 3. It has been an amazing journey and those of you still alive, buried under those rocks of an outside life, to see a glimmer of this message will be amazing. I would just like to congradulate everyone, who has managed to keep this forum alive ever since this game came out. The dedication of our fellow members has led this forum to constantly appear with new topics nobody ever thought of.

Yes i will definetely miss those days. I hope i am wrong and this is just another false alarm and in a few days we will have 5 posts a day (which is good for a forum this old). But that hope is gone.

All you new commers, i do hope you can spur new life or continue the old back into this forum but alas, it is quite abit to ask.

I really cannot think of much to say, i will continue to check this forum for any sign of life as there may still be life scattered among the rubble and by gosh i will be there to help.

I hope Mishtram wont decide to come back and as his first action, ban me for spam for this thread.

Anyway, to all you veterans out there that will see this, heed my message, it was a good journey, but its time to let go, and let this game fall to the pits of dead.

This forum has gone several weeks without a single post before, nobody said anything then

The game itself will probably never die. The communities will get smaller, but the fact that there are still servers and regular players online four years after it's release is a pretty uplifting thought. I'm sure not all (if any) of the online regulars for the various platforms even know about this forum... I know nobody from the XBox does cause they would recognize my username. I found this forum by chance when I lost my game disc and was looking for a place to discuss it.

Anyways just because the forum goes a few days without a post doesn't mean it's all over and the game should be scrapped forever. There will always be people playing SWBF2.

He`s not telling us to stop posting,He`s just saying(what Ive been thinking)That the old action of this forum is gone for good. Most the thread`s on this forum have been dead for over a year. Ill still post here as long as I have BF2 though.Unless a BF3 comes out for ps2(wich will be never ),then Ill be posting on the BF3 forum.

I agree with that.

I don't even notice any difference in activity from when I joined here several months ago. What makes today closure?

And about Battlefront 3, I think if it does come out, it's not going to be as memorable or addictive as Battlefront 2. I think a lot of the people who still play SWBF2 online now will continue to do so once they get bored of SWBF3. It's like on the XBox, the same group of guys set up a room to play Battlefront 2 every night, and while they're playing they discuss other games that have come and gone. I think Battlefront 3 will just be another one of those games that passes by and gets discussed over a good match of Battlefront 2 if it ever comes out.

For people who still play Battlefront 2 of course. I'm not saying everyone will ditch Battlefront 3.

Lets try to stay on topic here,If you want to post your favorite units go to one of the many threads for that kind of thing.(You might want to head to page four,BEST UNITS IN THE GAME thread) What we mean Nysyarc is there is not nearly as much action on this forum as there was like a year ago,this place used to be buzzing. As for BF3, I have no idea weather it would be better or not? The way it was switching hands.

This forum used to have 20 posts per day (around that) and there would always be a new reply everytime i checked. Now for days on end its dead.

Don't you think declaring the forum officially dead would simply discourage more activity ?

Edit: Just noticed your comments -- Mish ain't about cos, as his custom title reveals, he's inactive right now. And you wouldn't be banned for this thread, lol.

Ah Grievous, been a while since I've seen you.

Wookie King can't remember his PW, UWD seems to have lost interest in Neoseeker (or this forum, one of the two. I sometimes speak to him on MSN.) and Hank Solo has left. He still plays the game online, I'm sure. And sadly, this is my new account. I am actually one of the top posters here. Star_Wars_Fanatic, but that title is no longer fitting.

And we're not really declaring the forum dead, AJ is just stating that besides the occasional boom in activity, the forum seems to be on its last legs.

This thread is getting quite a few replies so it means we still check this forum.
