although a lot of ppl have said this before the maps are too small and there arent enough people pn the field i say huge maps with at the very least 100 solders on each side. that would seriously be the ultamate game.

A.) More Leaders. Not only did they miss a few main characters from the movies (Qui-Gon and Jar-Jar to name a few(and if you can play as Leia you should damn well be able to play as padme)) there's about a bajillion jedi/ sith from the extended universe. it's probably not necessary to include 'em all, but it'd be nice to have a lot more. Also, Leaders need to be available in Space: Obi-Won and Anakin flew in the 3rd movie, Darth Vader and Luke flew in the 6th. Vehicles like the Millenium Falcon and the Slave I should be playable as well.
B.) Bigger Battles. I don't know how many Al units the game systems can support, but the battles should be enlarged to include as many as they can. Also, more vehicles should be included, and each faction should get more than 1 class of vehicles per level. The levels themselves should be enlarged as well, as big as the programmers can possibly make them. Honestly I can stand a 1-minute load time if the level is the size of a small city (Naboo was like 2 city blocks. I mean come on.) If the number of on-screen units increases, then the number of reinforcements also need to increase. 150 reinforcements won't cut it if there are 50 units per team onscreen at once. it'd fly by too fast. Make it closer to 1000. I am curious about the idea to merge space/ ground assault battles. C.) More unit/ vehicle selection. It'd be amazing to have variations and combinations and possible improvements of every unit type, as well as many additions designed for various tasks. Also, the Congruent unit for each faction (Rebel Vanguard and Empire Heavy Trooper) need to have some more substantial differences. D.) More levels. They left out planets like Bespin and Alderaan and many many others from EU and such that are slipping my mind. Not only more planets, but more locations on each planet. For example, you should be able to battle on the following locations of Naboo: Theeds, underwater Gungan city, plains (where Gungan-droids battled in episode I), and forest. And make the environments at least partially destructible, and not just the turrets. P.S. Make the X-Wing attack on the Death Star accessible. E.) Revamp Galactic Conquest (and make it online). It feels like a gameboard and plays like RISK, and that needs to be fixed. To control a planet you need to win at every location (see above). If they change the credits system they will fix most of its problems. Each planet produces its own number of credits per turn (like a real-life economy) so some planets are much more valuable than other. (And I know each planets victory bonus varies, but thats a 1-time deal. This will benefit you every turn.) AS it is in BF2, you can raise a new fleet for free as soon as one is destroyed. You should be able to customize the size of your fleet, and they must be far more expensive to create. You can include more than 1 Capitol ship and many frigates in each fleet, but the more you include the more expensive it gets. You should also choose how many legions of troopers and starfighters you equip a fleet with. You have a set number of infantry, vehicles, and starfighters- once one is gone it is gone from the fleet forever. Once you run out of a specific kind of unit/ vehicle no more will respawn. You also choose what and how many vehicles a capitol ship transports, and on a planetary battle you can only use the vehicles you stocked in your CS. So the Empire only gets AT-AT's at Hoth if they bring them along in the fleet they use to attack hoth. Also, the number of units you have at the beginning of a defensive planetary battle is limited to the number of reinforcemtns you had left at the end of the battle in which you conquered the planet (that was entirely too wordy.) Now this may set up for uneven battles, I know, but it adds a sense of realism.Also, you should have the choice to deploy a leader or leaders with a fleet- but once that leader is defeated, it cannot be used for the rest of the GC. I'm not sure what to do with bonuses- keep em the same, remove them, or make them permanent. Also, give us the role of general: Create a battle plan for a battle, (telling our units to go for command post 1 at the onset or play defence, etc.) F.) Space Battles: Make 'em bigger. Just think of the magnitude of the battle over Coruscant in episode III. More Capitol ships, more Frigates (that can deploy ships), more starfighters. Make sure the computer AL are programmed to try to board enemy ships on their own. Make capitol ships fully destructible and fully explorable- not just a hanger and 4 rooms, but unit quarters, storage bays, control brigde should all be accessible. Make the resistance found on the ships stiffer; make sure some units are stationed near various systems for defensive purposes. And bump up the point limit to a number that will make these battles epic. G.) AL improvents. Upgrade them from r-tard to ranging from nube to veteran. Give them some intelligence: Make them employ squad-based tactics and attack en masse, more or less plan (e.g. decide the best way to take a command post), defend key choke points or command posts, coordinate movements, and communicate. Speaking of which: Improve squad command. They're limited and clumsy. Give us the option of being able to use multiple commands, not just "follow me!" Wow, if you read all of that I'm thoroughly impressed. I'm just bored and killing time late at night. I actually like the game a hell of a lot, despite my marathon of criticisms (and Im sure I'm forgetting some.) But I hope my ideas (along with all of yours) are considered before the creation of the next battlefront, given that it happens. It had better. | |

Ok this thread is awesome and everything is an improvement if they make the game like this, but has a SW BF3 actuly been announced yet? If so can I have a link to sho to some of my more skeptical friends?

But I can't believe no one has said force choking should be blockable. do you any ofyou really think yoda or mace windu could be chocked?!!?!?!? Also if you're knocked down you shouldn't be helpless. you hsould be able to roll around or attack from the ground especially if you're a jedi!! that is all | |

i think that there should be a larger variation of heroes, it also annoys me that the xbox version can download extra levels, and extra heroes, i have the PS2 version and it annoyed me that i couldnt use kit fisto. I also think that they should make the maps bigger, and have a variation of tasks for instant action, like the ones in the time splitters game, instead of just killing people. They should also make the story mode able to play from all sides, and have more levels, i completed the rise of the empire in a day! they should include one from rebel side and CIS, with like i said before, much more levels.
