Not me, but argos have been selling Halo 3 a week early, all stores have been notified and have now stopped selling it, was gonna go in saturday too oh well .

Idiots. Bungie is going to seek the maximum penalty for this leak. How these stores manage to *bleep* up the street dates, I'll never know. When the shipments come in, it says CLEARLY on the box "DO NOT SELL BEFORE 9-25-07". When this happened with Madden at a game store here in FL, the store was charged $1000-2000 PER COPY of the games they sold and the next year EA didn't sell them Madden at ALL (which in turn forced them to close down).

You know what's even more amusing is that copy is a preorder, so the store obviously knows about the salable date, they just didn't give a damn.

It happened with Madden 2007-2008, Bioshock and now Halo 3. Nearly every year it happens, it pisses me off, because when a store does it, they hurt other store's sales and in turn hurt their own.

For example, at my store, we had about 5 canceled reservations of Bioshock because the buyers got their copy at Toys R Us a week early. So because 'Tards R Us *bleep*ed up, we lost well over $350 of sales that day, our reservation numbers suffered and 'Tards R Us probably lost about $10,000 per store that sold them early.

So there are already going to be people with Halo 3 achievements before anyone else? No fair.

I doubt it's real, My Argos had boxes of COD4, Assasins Creed & Halo out. They could have easily changed the recite on Photoshop or whatever

Apparently these stores don't realize that they're not just pissing off Bungie and Microsoft Studios, but consumers as well.

Not getting Halo 3 this year? Why? I know these stores *bleep*ed up, but you don't have to boycott Halo 3.
