I have had these weird lines comig up and down the screen, Its not ruinning the picture or anything but it crashes everytime this happens. I have tried it on GH3 and Fifa 08 and it keeps happening, the lines are really far apart and 1 cm big squares that are far apart down each side of the lines.

Any help would be great and i was thinking about it over heating because my xbox has been in a really hot room for days (when it started).

EDIT: I have put a fan on it and it seems to have stopped but as soon as i keep playing the picture will go off the screen like the tv has been turned of. I was looking for loose wire at the back of TV but i can't reach it because its at the bottom of the tv. I don't want to send it off because Comets service is crap and they don't send it off untill its been there 2 weeks and its a really old verison which keeps getting repaired and i am getting the same one again and again. Do you think its better to buy a new one?

also where can i contact microsoft about this because i am on my 4th Xbox already in 2 years this is bloody stupid tbh.

if you hear a loud BUZZ then the picture freezes and white lines vertcle down the screen it could mean that it close to getting RROD

yeah could be that aswell also push the av all the way in might be hanging out slightly

Vertical lines appearing and the system crashing is a result of overheating...Do you keep your 360 back against a wall or anything?

Either your Xbox is about to die or your HDD is getting to the point where it's no good. Don't keep the fan on there, because that just makes the situation worse.

I have moved my xbox to my room and it's been alright for around 6 nearly 7 hours and it happened again but the xbox is hot so i have a fan in my room which is going so that could cool down my room and the xbox.

anyway i had a 30 minute talk with this women at customer service and she was making me check cables but before she told me to turn it on she was typing on her computer and she said it should work and hung up. The xbox has been working fine since. Ill check some stuff and whatever and see what the real problem could be

My plasma tv all of the sudden got blue spots on the screen but when I shut it down and went back they were gone. It was wierd.
