hi i was wondering if i bought a game in states like rock band would it work on my pal(uk) xbox 360?

Well, I have an NTSC copy of Ridge Racer 6 and it works fine, although the game sucks

I'm pretty sure it does not. I think it was Milkenobi who moved to America and took his Australian Xbox with him. His American games wouldn't work on the Australian Xbox so he made several threads asking how to get the RRoD and announcing his success at it finally happening.

is there a way to tell if the game is Region Free
becuase i was looking on ebay and people were saying the game is RF but i dont no how they no that???

i have found my answers for my questions now.

You may play any game form any region on your 360 as long as you play through high-def. Even if your TV has both standard def and high-def it will work. High def is region free. So go ahead.

Beware if you try and play the game through a standard TV (at a friends house or at a LAN party or whatever) you will get a message stating that the game is incorrect region. There are some exceptions (Ridge Racer) but for the most part PAL works with PAL, NTSC works with NTSC but in high def, none of that matters.

I play Australian games and American games on my PAL Xbox and my friends plays all the same games on his NTSC Xbox - all through high def though.
