@Bioshocker12punch - We've already covered the fact that viruses for PCs cannot translate over to 360's...PC viruses wouldn't do crap to a 360... quote icy_tacoFixed >_> -------------------

Of course its possible, if it deliberatly coded to effect the Xbox 360 OS. But theres no way that you can recieve it, all the stuff you download is from the Marketplace. quoteNo, its still impossible, because if you did get a virus on your computer then it would be coded to run on Windows(assuming that you use windows) and not on your 360. Also, just wondering, but why are you calling your computer a CPU? CPU stands for Central Processing Unit which is the processor, not the actual computer. ------------------- ![]()

alright, i'm trying to figure out what is wrong with my xbox 360. i have a pretty fast internet speed and a wireless-G 2.4 GHz Linksys broadbrand router. the problem is that my xbox 360 live game play is now really slow, to a point to where i cant play bad company n e more during the day (for some reason only at night) and COD4 has so much lag its impossible to play and it kicks me out after every match. Both of these games use to run like a dream but now they dont, i have even tried to play halo 3 and its the same story. it sucks so much, this all started happening the day after i got bad company. i didnt buy it in the marketplace ethier, it was preordered and shipped to me. im trying to figure out whats gone wrong

And now you know why Microsoft will not allow you to download user-created content directly from other users.

I've seen people with backgrounds they downloaded to there 360 through a computer. Downloading some pictures to a computer can give it a virus, why not the 360? And if viruses are made only to effect windows why wouldn't M$ just start windows over from the ground up to make it viro proof?

because if MS built up Windows from a new framework (which i believe they are doing for Windows 7), it will most likely just get hacked again once it comes out. one of the main reasons Macintosh is virtually virus proof is cause not nearly as many ppl use it as do Windows. ------------------- ![]() Working on: Fable 2, Fallout 3, Gears of War 2

There are currently no viruses coded for the 360, therefore it's impossible as of now. Like any system it's of course technically possible but impractical and virtually useless. A virus coded for Windows WILL NOT affect your 360 in anyway, shape or form because it's coded for Windows and not for your 360s OS. I suppose in theory one could code a hybrid virus but again, as of now such does not exist and probably never will due to the architecture of the console. It doesn't even have a web browser and all downloads are handled by Microsoft so distribution of any kind of malicious code is virtually impossible. -------------------

Maybe if someone had a cold and sneezed on your Xbox it would get a virus. -------------------
