Tranferring Xbox Data to 360 |
|
I know someone who is willing to pay a pretty decent price for my old Xbox, and I don't really want it anymore. The only Xbox games I actually want to play work on the 360 anyway. However, I don't want to lose the saved data I have on them, since I have gotten pretty far in quite a few of them and I play the games regularly. Is there any way to tranfer my save data from my Xbox to an Xbox 360? -------------------

a company made a kit to do that, but my friend let me borrow it, i tried it and couldnt get the data to transfer. so theres a way, but its really not too reliable. ------------------- ![]() Working on: Fable 2, Fallout 3, Gears of War 2

Do you know what the product is called? I'll look into it and see if it tends to work most of the time. -------------------

quote TurMoiL911yes, there is. my 100% gta san andreas and vice city saves currently reside on my 360, and i played bother games to 100% on the original xbox. datel makes a product called "xport." you dock your 360 HDD into it, and plug its USB plugs into your computer. there's a slot on the front for 360 memory cards, and a handy adapter for xbox 1 cards that fits right into it. (tried going straight to the 360, didn't work). software (basically their version of xplorer360, needed because 360 HDDs are a strange format) and instructions for transferring gamesaves from xbox 1 are both included. you will need an xbox 1 memory card. i can't say anything about "reliability" because, well, it worked the first time without a hitch. i must say, it took me quite a lot of research to find this, following dead ends with xsata, homebrew methods, and lots of forum links saying it was impossible. but it can be done, and easily, if you're relatively competant with a computer.
