HDMI cable

I do not have an Xbox that has an HDMI output, but I was wondering if there was a MS cable (similar to the one you get with the 360 or the VGA cable, but instead of a VGA connector it is an HDMI instead) that lets you connect your 360 to an HDMI TV. I have looked around, but product descriptions seem to be lacking.

re: HDMI cable

No, you can't.

I wish people would stop saying that.

There is an attachment, but from what I read, it will give you 1080i at the highest.

So it's not much better than just using component.

That explains why I have 1080p on my 360 using my components. I wish rude people would quit trying to confuse other people. Tis' enough to bring a tear to your eye

Digital component video is slowly becoming popular in both computer and home-theatre applications. Component video is capable of carrying signals such as 480i, 480p, 576i, 576p, 720p, 1080i and 1080p, although most TVs do not support 1080p through component video

re: HDMI cable

Right.

I have never seen a TV that supports 1080p through component.

And I sell TVs for a living.

And just because your 360 is set to 1080p, does not mean that you are seeing 1080p on your screen.

I can set my resolution to 1080p on my 720p TV, and it works fine, and looks fine, but I'm not seeing 1080p.

Get it?

re: HDMI cable

720p is a fine resolution unless your TV is bigger than like 45". anything smaller and 1080p is pretty much unnecessary compared with 720p.
