Meh, I could see that deal with Wal-Mart as being real. I work at a grocery store, and whenever something is up at the wrong price, or at the previous week's sale price, we have to give it to them at the price listed. It's the store's fault, so the store takes a loss for that item. -------------------

quote ljpdonnellyyea i agree... actually, just about all advertisements have some fine print at the bottom always, usually to prevent loopholes like that. ------------------- RON PAUL 08= GUNS GUNS GUNS =D

re: The Bargain Bin |
quote tracemastaxActually, they WOULD be legally obligated to sell it at that price >_> If they didn't, it would be called "False Advertising" >_> Not only is that illegal, but it is bad business anyhow. "Fine Print" usually covers stuff like 'Subject to availability, limit X per customer, deal valid through to xxxx, while supplies last'....So long as they have the consoles in stock, and it is within the deal expiration date, they WOULD be obligated to sell it at that price, error or not >_> Now, if the newspaper was at fault (misprinted the information that was given to them, instead of the given information being erroneous from the start), the newspaper would be obligated to cover the costs, I believe...So even then, I think it would work out well for Walmart, since they'd get droves of people coming in for the sweet deal, buying other stuff (like games) while they're there >_> -------------------

re: The Bargain Bin |
quote tallteen86lol no. False advertising is when they sell something under the pretence it's something else (ie, this car has done X miles when it's really done Y). Like I said no company is legally obliged to sell anything to anyone. BUT I can see a company the size of Wal Mart selling it at that price. But they don't have to. ------------------- y so srs.

quote ljpdonnellytrue story. they have to go by what is printed in ads, i know there is some legal thing with that. i think its considered advertising fraud or something to not follow the advertised sale price of an item. i remember an article in my local newspaper about it and how they were forced to sell them. it might be different in the UK than here in the US. tallteen's right though. the fine print at the bottom doesnt cover the advertised sale price issues. ------------------- ![]() Working on: Battlefield Bad Company, Devil May Cry 4, Lego Indiana Jones

re: The Bargain Bin |
quote Shinobi_razorsurely when it is clearly an error like that there would be extra protection for the company, plus they could easily say they have run out of stock, at that price it would be believable, but they would have to go a week or so with no sales. anyways they are all subject to change and the stores hold the right to withdraw any offer at any time if they feel like, end of..... in general anyways for ENGLAND (dunno how to flag it up)check shopto.com on a weekly basis and they have star buys for the week, and other special offers!at the moment they have the recently released lost for £20 http://www.shopto.net/page.php?page=search&categ=Weekly%20Special&platform=
