Right, two days ago I had my xbox on playing music, and suddenly, it shut off and I had three red rings of death.
However, I reset the console and it is now working fine.
At the time the console had only been on for 1-2 hours, so could it be a case of it simply overheating?
Just thought I'd check here before probably spending hours on the phone to MS...
(Btw, if this makes any difference, I hadn't played any games on it that day).

You might have slightly pulled out the cord of the power brick. Causing it to come up with RROD. but its not really a RROD.

People seem to think that RROD just means overheating when it means hardware failure. And so your power brick failed, because it was pulled out slightly.

When I got it I got the three red lights switched it off left it for 10 minuets went back on and played Halo again (what was I thinking?)

Next day, in the morning it worked fine, I went out for 4 hours or so and I had the Red Quadrant of Light (RQOL!!!!!)
