Reciept Question |
|
When I bought my console, I purchased the extended warranty, 2yr no worry warranty, at walmart. Obviously, I lost my receipt. The problem you see, is that I'm still under that warranty and I need the console repaired.

The warranty was through Walmart? Usually they use third parties for that stuff...

What they do is match the SN with the one on the receipt to make sure you're actually bringing back the same box. They don't keep these things on record. They more or less push that responsibility on to the customer by giving them the receipt. Without it you're pretty much screwed.

re: Reciept Question |
quote CdemonThat warranty is only for the RRoD issue. The 1 yr warranty that comes with the system covers every thing. That is also the warranty that you can renew just before the end of the last warranty. I am presently discussing this issue with MS and Walmart people on a higher level, so I'm sure that this situation will be resolved in the very near future.
