Apparently if you have the word 'Gay' in your gamertag then microsoft will ban you. For instance if you had a surname like: Gaywood, then you wouldnt be able to use it. Plus if you were actually gay and proud of it then you couldnt have a gamertag like: Proudtobegay.

Gaywood would be fine. IT's like if you put 'Jenkins is gay' it wouldn't accept it, however if you put 'Jenkins isgay' it works but then the person I said isgay reported me about 20 times and I had to change it.

I think they'll ban you if the word is being used as an offense.

They don't, they just make you change you're name.

The reason they don't allow it is because people could make their GT gaysgotohell or gayssuck or something like that. They do it to protect gays, not to discriminate.

The banning of GayGamer was very unlikely just an instant ban. None of the news articles on it covered the process nor was it even disclosed very likely.

What happens is a gamertag gets bad feedback and a lot of it to the point where it's probably getting a big red flag over it in the XBL HQ. Then Microsoft sends a message forcing the gamertag owner to change the name. If they don't, THEN they ban em.
