This will have been my 3rd Xbox360 that has broken down for an unknown stupid reason and made me have to pay for a new one! It's bloody rediculous how unreliable this console is, how many other members have had a broken 360?

Shouldn't all that be covered in the warranty?

Anyway, I had one to break and I sent it off. Didn't cost anything and I got 1 free month of Gold. I even got a free box temporarily.

Thats what I did. Just bought my third one about two months ago.

Makes sense, I'd buy a new console rather than waiting less than a month too.

Don't worry, if you have a PS3 as well as a 360 you can watch the cutscenes in MGS4. You'll probably get about 8 hours worth of gameplay but the cutscenes will last you a month.

I had my xbox since 360 came out. And it never broke down. But that's why you get a warranty so if it does brake down you can get it fixed or get a new one.

I've had one 360 RRoD on me, and that was exactly 6 months after i opened it ( i think its a conspiracy)

but the one i have now has been going for over a year, and im happy with it

I had one die on me a year after I bought it, and about a month after they said it had a 3 year warranty.

So lucky timing, much?

And I wouldn't complain when they are FIXING IT FOR FREE.
