Seriously, I got bored of GTAIV about a week after I beat the game. You really have to be easily amused to play that for a long time.

As DBZ said, you're better served to play an RPG if you really want something that just sucks the time out of your days like nobody's business.

ChiroVette was right in saying burnout paradise will keep you from boredom. It is a great game, and at the very least should keep you occupied for a few weeks until some big new releases come out.

Not to mention the amount of free updates coming for Burnout its like they are giving away a free game in a few months as the next update i think adds a new island as big as the one on the disc, crazy stuff.

If you want something crazy where you can run around hijacking helicopters and jets, parachute off the top of any vehicle, a huge game world and loads of missions. Get Just Cause . I am currently playing it and 6 hours just rushed by And I still have another 20 provinces to liberate.

if you like rpgs, mass effect will keep you busy. playing as evil or good.. then changing your class. however, if you're not an rpg fan, u might not want to.

bioshock won't last you very long but is my favorite game of last year. once you complete the game, you realise how amazing the plot was and how all those radio pieces you heard were so important as hints to how everything would turn out. combined with a few new plasmids released on XBL and the fact i want to use the different plasmids available, i'll be replaying it definitley. its also nice to play the game differently. my first playthrough, i was a plasmid guy 100%. if i play thrugh it again, i'll be a hacker instead with a few really good plasmids. i'll also save all my electric gel so i can beat the last boss easily. lol.

Call of Duty 4 and Rock Band are the two games that I can't stop playing. As much as I want to stop so I can finish getting all 1,250 achievements in Beautiful Katamari, I can't. .__. With COD4's online, and trying to get to 10th prestige and of course Rock Band getting a whole lot of DLC every Tuesday, that's enough to keep me entertained for a long time.

Ah, Mass Effect. One of the stronger RPGs and a great exclusive to the Xbox360. Seriously, if you like action and RPGs you can't really go wrong with this game. The greatest aspects of the game are its story, characters and dialogue, and probably the graphics.

You can choose to be male or female, then you can choose your class from being a soldier using a full arsenal of weapons (although there's only a pistol, machine gun, shotgun and sniper rifle) or mix it up with biotics and use kinetic powers to levitate and throw your enemies.

The highest level you can reach is 60 (I think) and after each level you are given points to improve your abilities and characteristics such as shields to charming and persuading other NPCs.

This game is continuing on to becoming a trilogy and I would definitely buy it, especially when you can get it in the UK for around £9.99.

It's truly epic to say the least. Third person shooter. I'm so pissed off with myself for trading it in against Devil May Cry 4. Now that's a shit game. I remember the months coming up before the release of Mass Effect and the footage they were releasing was orgasmic, with the player lifting up geth (the antagonists) with biotics and blasting holes in them mid air.

Sadly the game isn't very sand box. There's not much free roam involved. There's a main city that you can run around between missions but there isn't much to do except have deep conversations with everyone. You can explore planets on a vehicle but they don't vary much unless there are side missions involved. I feel the 2nd installment will touch up on these elements and improve them where needed.

It's the summer, this happens every single year. Wait until the holiday season approaches, and you'll have too many titles to play and not enough time.
