I went ahead and got my Xbox360 since they went on sale..

I was wondering if there is anything I can do with it before I get a game?


(I was going to play Halo 2, but I cant seem to find my copy..)

Download some arcade games, chat to some friends online, watch some trailers, rent a movie, listen to music etc.

You need XBL to do do all of those things apart from listen to music though.

have a look round the xbox dashboard and personalize it. Such as choose a good colour or background etc. But you can also download some good backgrounds and things off of xbox live. In fact, make your priority getting xbox live rather than a game because once you have it you can download game demos and things to keep yourself occupied.

Well crap.. I think I might have deleted all the themes that came with the Xbox because I thought it was weird that I only had 11GB to work with

I guess the most I can do without renting or borrowing a game is play demos and personalize.

System set-up files and other items take up part of your hard drive, just like with a computer. When you buy a 20 gig hard drive you're actually getting about 75% of that in actual memory space.
