Now i got a new Xbox. Using my hard drive from my old console.

I can no longer use my Golden Lancer in GoW 2, the save is still on my hard drive but i have long since made a new gamertag (from the one it was downloaded to) but i was always able to use the Golden Lancer with any tag on my old console, now i can't, i can only use it with my orginal gamertag.

Is there any way around this?

DLC is linked to gamertag only, you can only use DLC on the gamertag the DLC was downloaded to.

So either you go back to your original tag or just have no golden lancer.

No you can only use DLC on the gamertag you downloaded it to if you've changed Xbox, it would seem.

Cause i was still able to use the Lancer on my new account on my old Xbox.

I know for definite things like maps, songs and other things you've paid for cannot be used on a different gamertag, so you have to be careful when choosing which gamertag to download them to.

Maybe it's different for the golden lancer as you didn't really pay for that it was given to you for free as a launch extra for GOW2.

Meh, Maps and anything downloaded can be used on any gamertag as long as it's still the orginal console (even any tag) but if you buy a new Xbox, it has to the be the orginal tag... got it.

Content may be played by any gamertag on the first console it was downloaded on, or on any console on the gamertag that bought it if signed into Xbox Live. If you're offline, being on the original gamertag doesn't count (Sign in before you launch the game).

Alternatively, you can, once a year, migrate your licenses to the new 360. Doing that will allow any account on your new 360 use it, online or offline Assuming you still have access to the old gamertag that is.

Sorry i wasn't aware that any account could use it as long as it was on the original 360, so thats news to me lol.

Means if i download Fable 2's new content i can play it on my gamertag and the missus can play it on hers.
