Hey i got my 360 back today from microsoft and i think its a refurb ? Well its got a different serial number so i guess it must be ?
Its also a hell of a lot more noisier than my old one,any reason why ? I've heard that Refurbished consoles have a greater chance of geting the RROD,can anyone confirm this ? I got a refurbished console, then played a brand new one. The refurbished one definitely makes a louder sound. I'm not too sure how to tell if your console has the jasper chip, but I can confirm the refurbished consoles make louder sounds. This could be a new fan installed so the Xbox will not overheat as easily.
What is a jasper chip anyways? EDIT: Saw it in another thread. -------------------
