Well, as the years go by and new consoles are released, we will see less and less improvement as far as graphics go. It will not be such a leap as it was between the PS1 and PS2 for example, especially with launch titles. Wait until later next year, and you will be surprised at what they will be able to pull off.

Strange. I took a peek at my local Gamestop, and the console wasn't there...

I'd love a demo of it. It's the other console besides the Rev I'm actually considering...

I'm working at a mall now, and there's an EB games there. THey gots one, and I do my best to hog it while on lunch breaks and pre/post work boredom.


Call of Duty kicks arse. Graphically, I imagine it looks just like the baddest powerhouse computer game machine you could ever build by todays standards. Just, no frameskip. Them's animations are "...as smooth as eggs."


I'd pay 460+$ for that. Plus there's like 8 launch titles i've got a gut feeling about (the 'buy me now' kind). New controller is much more comfy, and the relocation of the B&W buttons (about damn time) evens it out. Might even one up the PS3's controller. Also, since the controller is a bit smaller than the old S, the lopsided locations of the thumbsticks is even less of a problem.

I played it at Best Buy. They have a wide screen TV for it. It was *bleep*ing A!

The demo that mostly impressed me was Call of Duty 2. It is no longer a run n' gun game and you actually need to be careful. Take cover, go around bunkers, etc...If you go through the level like rambo you will die. I found that to be a significant improvement to the previous Call of Duty games. I just hope its like that with all the levels.

Wait so now Best Buy has a 360 in display now as well? AWESOME!! I NEED TO GO!! Haven't gone to Wal-Mart yet....

I will call my Gamestop again. If they do not have it still, I will drive to Topeka (about an hour away) and go to the Best Buy there.

I finally got to play the 360. I went to EB Games and saw it. I said,"cool its on" and I started playing Call Of Duty 2. Man was it clear, but of course, it should be.

I finally went to Wal-Mart and saw the 360 controller and the TV unoccupied. I was like..."woah...mine!" but then the tv screen said out of order. I asked two employees and one said "oh its broke...we gotta call Microsoft" and the other said "it sucks up to much power in the store". I believe that was both horse poo, I mean 360 broke already?

A ton of stores are having trouble with the 360's. Hope it is not representation of the final hardware.

Yeah I heard it was something to do with the wireless controllers, they interfered with some crap and stuff. Microsoft said that it won't be a problem at home though, because they have fixed it, and now they have some special thing that means they won't interfere with other things with the special thing and so on.

There was some sort of discussion about this in a different thread, can't remember where. Link anyone?

Well there was that article I posted a week or so ago about it messing with walmart's till system, so perhaps it has interfered with till systems or some other electronic systems in stores.

They have been fully tested and approved for all home appliances that have passed some certificate, which they have to pass in order to be sold in stores. So we should be fine.
