I don't think that limited backwards compatibilty will be a downfall of the 360, just an annoying obsticle you'll have to learn to work around. Buy more TV's so you can connect your Xbox to it, then have non-hassle play on your old non-compatible Xbox games, but who in their right mind will do that?

Better than having like 20 cables coming out of your TV.

I gotta go with Alias on this one. I mean honestly, XNA is just a Dev kit, nothing more. And if it wasn't a marketing scheme, you could find more information about it, other than "Its gunna revolushunize tha markit"".

Hell, it might of just been a ploy to get more people to like Full Auto. I mean, people really don't like new ideas and all, like Cleric stated.

It is backwards compatible with most gams though. Unless i have gotten fals info i dont think i am wrong. This is witht he harddrive however.

I have to say, that at no way is the man who started this thread a fanboy.

I am a pretty hard-core gamer, and so is everyone of my close friends, and among us, we have every system MADE. I know my stuff. XBox 360 is a big improvement over the Xbox, we all know that.the 360 is a beast of a machine. HOWEVER, i would hardly call it a next-gen system compared to PS3 and the Rev. I think 360 will NOT fall by next year, but it might lower its sales dramatically when people see the PS3 and the Rev.

Xbox 360 is hardly innovative, it really has nothing innovative(except a changed color controller )

The Rev has so much more to offer, and i'm not even gonna get into the PS3. I will get the Rev, as i dig their new controller, but i might get the ps3, but not the 360, because it isn't 400 dollars worth of 'new gaming experience'

the main fanboy population is for Xbox. the majority of kids at my school love xbox. They have no logical reasoning, but they always diss Nintendo. I even argued wtih this one fanboy about how Nintendo sucks, so i asked him why, and he answered 'Mario Party is Gay'


yep, yep.....that's logical.

especailly since mario party is by a third party developer, not even nintendo's doing

Or just don't be a dumbass and buy a TV that is limited in inputs. I have my DVD player, HTS, Xbox, and PS2 all hooked up to the same TV; and if needed I can easily hook up a 360 to it without removing anything.

I don't have a spectacular TV either, just a 32" flat tube Sharp. But I do have a decent A/V Reciever (Pioneer VSX-815), and a pair of floor speakers (JBL E-80). I currently have my cable box, PC, and Xbox connected with 2 more A/V ins, and 2 audio ins. It's a pretty decent setup and I'm looking to add a 12" sub (JBL E-20) sometime soon.

If you can't afford a home theater there are plenty of A/V switchers out there that are pretty inexpencive. Most A/V stores should have them, Iv'e even seen them at Gamestop and EB. Whatever, just look around, your answer is out there.

I guess we will find out when it comes out if the graphics are going to be better or not.

I think that the 360 controlle is DAMN innovative! I love the design and the functionality. Although, granted I only have the wireless controllers, so I cannot speak for the wired ones. The little XBox button which allows for remote operarion of the console is absolutely brilliant in my opinion.

Oh and I do think that the Revolution controller has a GREAT DEAL of potential to be insanely innovative. If Nintendo can get the kind of functionality that they are promising, and it ends up working vitrually glitch-free, that may end up being an insanely revolutionary (no pun intended) controller!

I don't know too much about the 360 controller, but it sounds quality. If the PS3 controller is the same as the PS2 on, but different looking, which controller would you rather play with?

If SONY makes no improvements to the PPS3 controller then the 3660 controller will officially be the best controller in the history of video games. That boomeraing looking eyesore thing that SONY published is about the stupidest pile of dog-dung I have ever seen. The 360 controller, in my opinion, is fantastic, not only solving the problem of the extra shoulder buttons very nicely, but adding in some EXTRA functionality that I, quite frankly, was not expecting at all!
