That sucks. I thought the 360 would be a perfect gaming console and now I hear a lot of bad things about it. I hope it gets fixed soon, is the Xbox 360 Live good?

the 360 was released too early, the reason its "sold out" everywhere three monthes after release is because microsoft didnt get there act together and the first batch of 360's sucked bawllz, some of the chips inside just werent running smoothly with the rest of the package, so the truth is they havent been sold out, microsoft has bee witholding 360's from the public for the last three months so that they can try and reclaim something from this whole debacle. Truthfully yes it looks better but thats about as good as this generation of consoles gets, the PS3 is the start of next gen not the 360 end of story, the 360 was built using the best current hardware has to offer, the PS3 will be using all new hardware never used in anything else before, i.e. the cell processor. the fact that it was the first out of the gate doesnt necessarily mean that its going to do the best, it just means that it will make a bunch of mistakes that sony and nintendo can learn off of. its price isnt that high because Microsoft was smart in making that its price, the PS3 will be more expensive, but it just has more to offer. BTW gamecube and nintendo suck, and I consider myself a sony fanboy so no...I will not go suck "it", now grow up.

Hes right. J ton is right. But listen, it has taken SONY 3 count them 3 consoles to get it right. Microsofts first was better than sony's second. In the ture world sony's third should be better. It probably will be in terms of power. SOny wont be able to use it though. Dont worry for being number two int he microsoft line up they have gotten them all right so far. If you think about it SONY's should be better. But hey it may not. We are working with only console 2 on microsoft.

Yeah thats true roral sampler. Whatever Sony says about their system will be somewhat true and somewhat false. For example, when you watch tv and see a Mcdonalds' commercial, they make their burgers look like the best burgers in the world. They're not going to say something like, " Our burgers are ok, there's no need to come and eat one and give us money". Same thing as Sony, they're not going to say something like, "Our system is going to be about the same as an Xbox 360, not much of a noticeable difference so just buy whichever you feel like." That would make them no money and instead a company will always say "Our's is the best. Don't buy theirs, buy ours, it's the best thing ever invented."
We'll just have to wait and see how PS3 compares to a 360, but I'm betting that there will be a little bit of a difference but not easily or greatly noticeable. So basically I think they'll be even, maybe Sony with a little bit of a better system due to an extra 2 years to develop(they released PS2 a year earlier and then PS3 a year later than 360), so they should have a better system, but since they suck it will be a slight advantage.

I am sick of the 'perfect' next-gen console. Everytime a next-gen console comes out people hype it up too much. They think it's perfect, but it's made out of the same technology as your 5-year-old PS2, just more advanced. So some people's freeze, and all of a sudden, the console is unreliable.

I bet that although the PS3 looks great at the moment:
- Some of them will freeze.
- Some of the new blu-ray drives won't work too well.
- Some will overheat.
- Most of the launch titles will be shite.

Common sense, right? But no, after years of new consoles people still think that the new console will be invincible. And the same people who bash the 360 for this now will be pretty surprised when the PS3's inevitable design flaws are noticed.

Disclaimer: Nintendo consoles are exempt from the above statement. Never heard of a broken Nintendo console...

dont get me wrong man the 360 is a fantastic gaming rig, me and my friend play call of duty 2 on his all the time and it doesnt freeze or anything, but its just not as good as the ps3 is going to be. So unless you want to pay another 400 dollars for a console with slightly better graphics than the last xbox, and some name brand games like halo 3 then I suggest you wait for all the consoles to be released to see which will be the best for you.
