this is exactly where I saw this thread ending up... ...the true answer to all of this lies with time itself, once the ps3 is release we will have unbiased opinions, therefore I believe that threads like this should wait until AFTER ALL parties have released their systems.

Of course they won't improve at the moment, because at the moment, the games are already released and nothing can be updated. Any games that come out after one another get improved graphics. That's a given.

Improved graphics on other games isnt a given.

It pains me to see not just 360 bashing but console bashing in general.
The games make or break a system...you can have all the graphical prowess in a machine but if the games aren't there to support it it's worthless.
Halo 3, Gran turismo,a new mario game these titles will decide which machine is better and until they are all out there on the market we won't know.

Not uncommon to have DVD drives from different companies. There was a thread on Xbox.com started on 10th December about different DVD drives. Doesn't seem to by any correlation between the drives and how old the console is. Maybe it's an upgrade, but might be like the old Xbox, where the Thomson drives were crap. I got mine 2004 and I didn't get the one that could play DVD-RWs (can't remember the make).
Mabye they're doing it on the sly but I cannot find any evidence that a new Xbox 360 is not version 1.0. I'm not disagreeing with you, it's just I can't find any evidence of an updated 360.
