I have an LCD capable of Analog and Digital inputs, could I use one of the (preferably Digital) connections with a X-Box 360?

Note: I don't have a 360 yet, I plan to get it when it drops in price...

Yes you can. I believe you use the VGA lead to connect a 360 to a monitor. That lead is capable of showing high-def images too.

The reviews are not that good but I have never used one as I use component to my TV. There may be another option, but that's all I know of.

Ok since theres already a thread here I have a question. I have a 360 and a LCD monitor and I was looking at the VGA cable today and I almost bought it but then I realized that I need speakers. Theres nothing on my monitor to plug it into. None of my computer speakers will work either. Do I have to buy regular tv speakers for this to work or is there any certain speakers that you know of that I can get? I don't really feel like buying big speakers made for a tv because they tend to be really expensive.

OK relax, you simply need an Adapter

I have some decent 2.1 Satelite speakers that use a standard connection, a single 3.5mm socket.

If your speakers are fairly standard this will work 100% it does for me, I also use A TFT

You get a better quality than standard tv, and equal quality of HDTV depending on the resolution you choose. 720p is 1280x720, and 1080i is 1920x1080, so most monitors of decent size can achieve 720p.

You don't need a HD tuner though do you? You can just hook it up directly to your computer monitor (with an adapter for audio), and It'll look like an HD input?

You can find tv tuners in computer stores. You don't need one to hook up a 360 to a monitor though, you just need the cable and a converter depending on what you have for speakers.

Which is better. An LCD computer monitor or a HDTV.
