Those two videos make me want a PS3.

I had never really paid attention to Resistance, but after seeing it, it looks awesome.

I'll actually seriously consider buying one now.
They just need to come out with some more interesting games.

I thought the exact opposite of them. It's pretty dumb IMO because it is just Sony trying to make PS3 sound awesome and great. Microsoft could have made the same type of videos but they didn't. I don't think there will be a ton of difference between 360 and PS3, I think it is more or less what the company can convince the consumer of which one is better.

Sure the PS3 might not be graphically any different to the 360 thats a given considering their GPU's are almost identical... One is from ATi the other Nvidia, but where the PS3 has the potential is in processing power and disc size.

Sure at the end of the day 25Gb's may never be needed, 50Gb's may never be needed but if its there why not use it, Elder Scrolls 5 if that comes out in this generation, could be a Playstation 3 exclusive because it has a whole 25Gb's just for the 250,000 miles of map they decide its gonna have that, textures for not only main characters and main villagers but a whole living city of thousands of people, hundreds of hours of dialogue for this city etc..

The Playstation 3 might not be any better than the Xbox 360 but it has the potential, the developers have the potential, sure Sony were being egotistical in that presentation, blowing their own trumpet if you will but if that makes the Playstation 3's hardware easier to understand which it did, i found out something new in that presentation then all the better to Sony.

The only reason I don't buy into this thing is because a good gaming pc has had gaming technology superior to consoles for years. I just like consoles but I just don't listen to any of the companies whenever they talk about their console's power and stuff because every generation they just try to say it's the best. I just go for the games I like best.

These videos are nothing short of fantastic. They've been perefctly designed to accentuate the PS3's brilliant features. The guys voice combined with the operatic music and sound effects conjour an epic ride that convinces you the PS3 is a brilliant purchase. Even if it was a load of BS - I'd buy a PS3 after watching those.

Funny. It doesn't work for me. I guess i am a person that needs to try before i buy sort of thing. Although when i first saw GOW i preordered anyway as i knew it would be great. The scene in the gas station sold me. The X05 one!

Hahahahahaha, that's clasic, shame PS3 can't do any of that though isn't it. Considering real time water physics (not just water surface physics) hasn't been done in any game to date. And was only really used properly in the last 2 years in CGI on computers that took days to render a second. PS3 won't be able to do any of that, apart from the warhawk and resistance bits.
