Actually, I've got a question here : if your headset is working, should you be able to hear your own voice through your headphones when you speak? Because I never do- I can hear other people fine, but I can never tell if my microphone is working (and yeah, I have it plugged in and switched on and the volume turned up...) | |

There shouldn't be any echo. If you want to see if it's working then record a message and play it back. If it plays back, you're recording... if not, then you're not. -------------------
