I'm not sure specifically, but I don't think it's a lot. :/

re: question about the memory unit?

Not much at all. To put it in comparison, I have a 64mb memory card for my PSP and even that is too small. EVEN FOR A PSP. So, take my advice and just get the Hard Drive. £70 may sound like a lot of money, but you will regret it if you get the 64Mb unit instead.

re: question about the memory unit?

What does the PSP have to do with the 360?

The data isn't stored as whole videos or anything, so it's not like a Gears of War save is that much bigger than a Liberty City Stories save.

Just in game saves I have 840mb. For one gamer profile, it's at 4mb. And the combined total for themes and pictures is 12mb.

re: question about the memory unit?

I have lots of game saves stored on my memory unit.

GoW
Madden 07
Oblivion
Condemned
PDZ
PGR3
MotoGP06
GRAW
FIFA RtWC
Quake 4
Saints Row

Keep in mind those are just game saves. If that's all you need it for then it's worth it imho.

re: question about the memory unit?

Very few. Some games won't even fit into 1 memory card. One Gears of War save takes up 61 MB.

Oops actually it's KB. Sorry. Yeah I guess you can store lots. But some of my saves are too big for the memory card.

re: question about the memory unit?

its still best to get a HDD. memory cards are really only best for transferring saves and junk onto other HDDs, not really for storing stuff on.

Oblivion saves, i doubt would even fit on a memory card since there is so much data that has to be recorded.

I have three different Oblivion characters/games saved on my MU. Notice my post above. They are on there along with all of the others I listed.

re: question about the memory unit?

You could save.. i would say 20 games.

Since, most games consist of 1-6mb per save. So rounding it, since i mean Dead Rising, that's 4.5mb a save, but atleast you can overwrite.

Yet it's better to get a HDD, since then you can store Demo, Music, Trailers etc.

re: question about the memory unit?

If you only want to save games then a memory unit will suffice.

Like stated above, if you are looking to save demos, trailers, themes, personal music and the like then you have to have a HDD.

I personally have no desire for those things right now and a MU has suited me just fine.
