Monitor Question |
|
About an hour ago I ordered this Samsung LCD monitor from Newegg. I'm thinking about purchasing the VGA cables for my 360 to hook it up to this monitor in a little while, after I get the monitor. I was just wondering how I would get sound? There isn't a way that I can use my PC's speakers is there? ------------------- ![]()

The Microsoft brand VGA cables come with a speaker adapter to hook up to analog PC speakers and a Lesbian VGA connector. -------------------

Oh, ok then that should work out great. Do you know if they could be used to hook up into my stereo whenever I go to college in a year? ------------------- ![]()

As long as your stereo has RCA input (the red and white circular holes) then yeah you should be able to plug it in and play the sound through your stereo. ------------------- ![]()

Ok, well I'll have to check that sometime whenever I'm bored. I'm just trying to think if it would be worth the money to buy the HD DVD drive late this year or maybe ask for it for Christmas. Is there a way I can check to see what my 360 could display on my monitor? (1080, 720, etc.) ------------------- ![]()

Since it's only a 1440 X 900 resolution, you won't be able to see anything in 1080. ------------------- ![]()

My monitor arrived today! I don't really care that it can't get to 1080 because 720 is fine by me, it still looks amazing. I hooked up my 360 to it but when I hooked up the audio cords with that adapter to my speakers it was extremely loud for some reason when the volume knob was turn all the way down/off. Any ideas for that? For now I just hooked the audio cords into my TV and put it on my video channel and that works fine for now. I'm kind of mad that my pc is so shitty that the video card cannot support the 1440 X 900 resolution, but I plan on getting a new and good pc in the next couple of months. But can anyone help me with my audio problem? It doesn't matter if you can't because using my TV is just fine with me. I hooked the cords/adapter into my pc speakers if that helps. ------------------- ![]()

Any of you interested in buying a TFT for your 360 should purchase the ASUS 19 inch widescreen TFT it's cheap as cheaps and offers amazing performance, I'm getting one in April.

I have no problems with 1080p. My games don't slow down or pixel up. Might be your connection. 1080p delivers a much better picture than 720p IMO. ------------------- ![]() I Bleed AQUA and ORANGE!
