HDMI question |
|
hey. just asking a quick question, whats the difference between HDMI HD and HD through AV? and if HDMI is the accepted standard for HD, how come most HD TV's Ive seen do not have a HDMI port? I dont get it? and the elite 360 has a HDMI port,so,how much of a difference is the screenshots on IGN and Gamespot going to differ in comparison to the HD ones from AV? that is,if all future screenshots are to be taken with the elite console ------------------- [ GT1 -- GT2 -- GT3 -- GT concept -- GT prologue -- GT4 -- Forza Motorsport 2 ]

The difference between the two is digital versus analog. The digital signal is going to be a lot more clear. Like on my PS3 1080i in HDMI or 1080i in Component looks quite different. In Component the XMB has a lot of banding going on on the background, under HDMI there is little to no banding at all and the colors are extremely vibrant and look great.

The idea that HDMI looks *insert adjective here* better than component is more of a matter of visual preference. If you're a casual viewer of content, then you will probably not even notice the difference. But if you're a videophile, then you most certainly can nit-pick them. -------------------
