I think it's worth having this up, because cmon aren't we all gonna have PS3's sooner or later.

It seems to border on the impossible not to have a Sony console, if your interested in games that is.

I've been thinking about it. Of course I want one just to have, but they've been losing out on so many exclusives that if they were to lose Soul Caliber or Kingdom Hearts, I really wouldn't have a reason to buy one. I prefer the PS3's functionality way over the 360's. In a few words the PS3 is much more interactive with its features, more "pro choice". But in the end a console is for playing games, the interactivity can't sell game playing consoles all by itself.

Same with the online, no point in utilizing the free online if I have no great online games to play. And I've met some pretty cool people on XBL that I've gotten pretty used to playing games with. No guarantee they'll be on the PS3 with me.

As for the Wii, I just want that for SSBB. I'd pay insane amounts of money for the game alone. But the err, price point of the Wii helps. I don't give a shit if its a gimmick that will get boring, I just want Super Smash.

Well yeah, thats where I stand.

If I want a lighting fast, satisfying head-shot I go for Gears of War. If I want to blast the hell out of some aliens mindlessly, then I go for Resistance.

I've got them both, and they're both brilliant games.

PS3 and 360 should be able to co-exist in peace, side by side. It does seem that MicroSoft are dishing out the most diss in terms of the console war at the moment.

I'm not gunna get the PS3 (at least not for a few years yet!!) i think that the differences between them aren't woth an extra £200!!!
I have a wi for light hearted fun gaming, but when I want something serious, the xbox is where i go!!!

well, soon, if you sit them next to eachother, they will make a black void in your room. by that, I mean the 360 elite sitting next to one, its a pretty picture to say the least.

Once the price goes down, I'll probably pick one up for whatever exclusives it will have by then. But as of right now, I'm sticking to what I can afford...

Funny thing is... the Playstation 2 still isn't out of style yet. I'm just curious to know how it feels to have a game like God of War 2 two out sell anything that is released for Sony's next-generation console.

Anyway, I owed all of the consoles released during the current generation. I started with a Game Cube, sold it for a Playstation 2, and in turn sold that for an Xbox. In hindsight, I which I hadn't of sold any of these consoles, because exclusives were a huge part of this generation (Halo, God of War, Smash Brothers), but it seems that exclusives are slowly going by the way-side.

I was never a fan of Final Fantasy or Metal Gear, so these exclusives do not appeal to me. I've never claimed to be a hardcore gamer and I'm not ashamed to say that I bought a Playstation 2 JUST for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. The games that I enjoy are now non-exclusive or Xbox-only, so buying a Playstation 3 is more of a luxury than owning my 360.

But... I'd always choose Sony for sports and RPG, Microsoft for racing and shooters, and Nintendo for innovation and platforms. Sony just needs to give me a reason to buy the second-to-market console.

God of War 2 outselling any PS3 game. It's so easy to believe and understand, and yet I still have to explain it to you. The PlayStation 2 is the best selling console EVER, so when you compare number of PS2's sold to number of PS3's sold it definitely makes sense that God of War 2, a PS2 game, is going to outsell any PS3 game.

Not only that but God of War 2 is a fantastically amazing game.

F1D0 actually kind of dislikes Sony, but if they get enough exclusives and when the price is right, then it'll sitting right next to the 360.

Why is everyone expecting the price to drop? It could years and you'll be missing out on the 'exclusives' which you so desire. That's not to say they wont be still around when you buy a PS3, I'm just thinking Sony wont be cutting the price until the eventual arrival of the next Xbox console, for example the 720.
I'd like each console of course and I'm happy with my 360 at the minute, especially if the games deliver this year.
