Should I send it in?

I just got my 360 like 5 days ago. It already has problems. And not just one.

1) I was playing Halo 2 and it froze, I don't think that should happen after 3 days.

2) I was playing Halo 2 and I got something that popped up on the screen and looked like a glass shard. Sorry, I can't describe it well and so I quit and it was gone and then it came back in the same spot. And it got darker as I kept trying to play with it.

3) Yesterday I turned it on and it was really loud. My brother had played it for awhile about an hour before and it was quite. So I shut it off and gave it a full day of rest and it is still really loud.

Do you think I should send it in?

re: Should I send it in?

1) Clean your Halo 2 disc and try playing it again.

2) The 360 is usually loud, especially playing 360 games on it, so you're gonna have to get used to that.

3) If you do #1 and still have problems, you're gonna have to get your 360 fixed or replaced.

1 - Games freeze sometimes, if it happens a lot, then that might be a prob...if its only with one game, like that one, then its probably the game..

2 - Actually, I think I heard of that prob...its a X-Box (non-360) game right? I vaguely recall hearing that Halo 2 had problems like that, though I thought some sort of update fixed it?

3 - System is loud, thats unavoidable as of yet...Its usually the disk tray spinning, and the fan...when the system is loading something big, it gets loud...like the startup of a game, for example...

Lol even if you try and sent it in microsoft will find away to make it your fault. I have been trying to get mine in for about 2 month and I have called Cust Suport about 23 times, I hang up when I get an asian or indian because, no offence, you just cannot understand them

Well the game is only 5 days old. I got the 360 and everything on Sunday and it has either been in it's case or in the system.

If you can find the update please let me know.

So is it only loud when the game starts up or the whole time, because it is an XBOX 360 game and I never really played for longer than 2 mintues because it didn't sound right. Too loud but from what I hear that is normal.

So you don't think I should return it to the store?

So if I turn it on again it might not happen? I haven't tried because I didn't want to harm it more.

Please if anybody else can answer the other two questions that would be great.

re: Should I send it in?

Well the first two are problems with teh emulation of Halo 2 cuz that happens to me. Also the 360 is pretty loud. So no, there is NOTHING wrong with your 360. Unless the #2 happens to more games than just Halo 2.

re: Should I send it in?

For #2, it happens to everyone then, so its not like its gonna kill your system if you happen to see it...

For #3 ditto...you say you hear it happens to everyone (which it does pretty much) but then you ask if you should return it to the store 0_o So don't return it, unless the game refuses to load properly...then return the game...but try it a few times, and clean the disk with a lintfree cloth if you have to, first...

re: Should I send it in?

Ok thank you all for your help. I really didn't think that the thing would break after a few days. I guess it didn't. I was really worried though. Thanks again for all your help.
