B. The Premium package the standard and the core is just a downgrade from that?

What I am saying is do you think the XBOX 360 controller is normally wired but you can get a wireless one as an upgrade or is it normally wireless but you get get it wired for a cheaper option?

I prefer to think that the controller is wireless naturally because I have never touched a wired 360 controller. I think the wireless is one of the best things about it. Also the layout of the buttons is great.

Is there a version of the PS3 that comes with a wired controller?

If it did, would it be fair to say that the PS3 does not come standard wireless?

Anyway, the XBOX 360 controller has been voted best many times over, it's kind of funny that this point is being fought SO hard by PS3 fans. As if they need some sort of victory.

If you buy the Premium 360 you're getting the multi disc changer.

I agree, the Core package shouldn't even be there as an option. It's kind of like the 20gb PS3.

I also think the Premium 360 should have a much larger HDD. I have to constantly delete content off there if I want to get another demo, and that sucks because any of the demos I've got on there I still like to play.

In Australia the premium pack was released for a while before the core pack became available (as it was a cheaper option) so how could it be standard?

Whenever a game is bundled with a console, it is always the premium, not the core.

When a game gets bundled with a controller, it is a wireless controller.

Do you think the Core pack is the standard? If so, then you are saying that the XBOX doesn't come standard with a hard drive and it's just an upgrade. Also, this means that playing in high definition isn't standard (as the core pack doesn't come with that right cord), high def is just an upgrade.

The XBOX os a four player console but only 2 wired controllers can connect. You need wireless to play properly.

It is really hard to find wirled controllers (which are apparently standard).

Third party controllers are usually wireless (I personally have never seen a wired one).

Some retailers wont even stock wired controllers.

Conclusion, I don't know how you could say that the wired controller is the standard XBOX 360 controller. It is not an upgrade. The wired controller is another option to the wireless standard. You are just playing on the name of the pack that comes with a wired controller.

There is no question that the premium pack is the standard XBOX360 package. The core pack is an alternative.
