Anyone know if there will be a price drop sometime around September when halo 3 is released?

I heard a rumor it was going to drop $150 when the PS3 game out, but that didn't happen though. But it's possible.

It isn't going to drop to $150 anytime within the next couple years. If the price drops it will probably go down about $50. I haven't heard anything about it though.

I think it would be a smart move if they did So i could buy one just for halo 3 lol.

I would be kind of mad if it happens soon because I just got my 360 a few weeks ago. I would hate knowing that If I would have waited I could have gotten it for $50 less.

Maybe it will come down £50, but buying this is really a bigger saving than £50. I dont even know if I like Command & Conquer but if not it will go on Ebay for over £20 and I will get something else.

If it does drop it'll probaly do what PSP did and drop a couple bucks. 50 at most. I'd rather see a price drop in games. 60?!? Back when they were 50 I used the rest for Taco Bell.

I agree, if you want the latest games the £££ soon disappear. Il try get most of the games when they have been out a bit, although there will be some where I wont want to wait.

I just buy my games off ebay. I but them sealed and they come with a warranty so it really isn't risky. I have gotten Halo 2(XBOX), Tony Hawks American Wasteland(XBOX 360) and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07(360) all sealed for a total of $50. This is my way of bypassing the stupid $60 prices.

I never really got to far in Wasteland. I am a terrible button masher so I couldn't get passed the goal where you had to pull of the green top. It is fairly early in the game so I was kind of pissed that it was the only goal I couldn't do and it didn't involve any skill.

Yes or it could possibly go down to the price of $325 or $375 for the system.

I think that a price drop is not as inevitable as the last gen of consoles was. At least not any time soon. Why? Well, mostly because neither SONY nor MS really has any reason to. Last gen, the XBox and the PS2 were head to head competitors, and, perhaps more importantly, were priced EXACTLY the same. SO, the SECOND SONY dropped the PS2's price by $100.00, MS responded with the exact same price cut.

This generation, particularly with the completely different prices of the PS3 and the 360, there really is no need for either company to worry about the price of their rival system.
