re: getting an xbox360 wanna know some stuff

i got one like last week, and am quickly getting stuff for it all the time... should be able to hook up xbox live pretty soon \...
anyways:
1. I bought a bundle, the price for that was 460 bucks. Included a game plus an extra wireless controller (premium)
prices are basically the same everwhere unless its onsale: core is $300, premium is $400, and elite is about $500.
2. Buy premuim or elite for sure. u truly need the storage space for xbox live. if u get the core, u wont be able to play the fun demos, watch hd movies, and most importantly ull have to spend like forty bucks on a memory card for ur games cuz u have no harddirve. ur memory card will be about 64mb, compared to a 20 gig hard drive on the preium or the 120 gig hard drive on the elite.
3. Got mine at costco cuz...well u no its costco and if my xbox dies costco will take it back with no bullshit unlike bestbuy. u gotta pay like sixty bux or something for an "extended warranty" but for costco they always take it back and give u a full refund

I got mine at Walmart. It came with a game and a wireless controller for $460. It was quite a good deal since the game would normally be $60 and the controller would be $50.

They obviously had some sort of special.

Basically, it just comes down to;
DON'T BUY THE CORE. (the $300 system).

It doesn't have what you need. The hard drive alone is $99.

So go for the Pro, or the Elite system.

re: getting an xbox360 wanna know some stuff

I would love some advice here too as i intend to purchase a 360 as soon as I can afford one. I'm trying to decide between the Premium and Elite. If I describe the way I anticipate using the system, could you guys who own them give me your advice on which to buy?

Firstly, I'm well on my way to becoming a grown up, so my gaming time has become more and more limited. I've never been an online gamer, I generally enjoy single-player games the best (action, adventure, platformers, FPS, shooters, the occasional racing or sports game, not a big RPG fan), though I enjoy the occasional pick-up-and-play multiplayer (like Halo, of course) as well. I'm not going to jump onto Live instantly because of the cost and my own laziness, though I will probably join eventually. I definitely only want wireless controllers and will eventually be buying a home theater system, but I probably won't own an HD anytime soon.

Also, could you guys suggest some games besides Dead Rising and Gears of War that are must-plays?
