At this point, they've worked out most of the hardware bugs. I wouldn't worry about buying one now. I bought mine back in January, and it has had no problems so far. Even if it does break, chances are Microsoft will replace it and/or fix it free.

While the newer and improved 360's have been made with cooler processors and better cooling, though it will take months if not years for the revised systems to filter to the shelves i mean stores probably have hundreds of pent up stock that is needed to be sold before the revised model will go out.

Yeah but the ones that they have stocked up are still better than the launch consoles that have been causing most of the problems. Microsoft is slowly trying to fix the problems.

Granted, that guy is an unusual case, but still, its pretty bad neh?

I just hope my 360 never decides to break on me, as I've had it for about 7 months, so I'm good for a little while, in terms of warranty...too bad MS didn't solve the problem before the release, then they wouldn't be forking over a fortune on repair costs...

Ugh, my 2nd one was DOA. I feel for the guy. Either way stores definately don't have hundreds in stock and they update rather fast. I would say get it for the games and you say you won't go online, but you should definately get XBL. It is SO worth the *whats the price now? *50 dollars a year?

I'd love to have it online. But I just can't see me going through all the trouble getting it there.

My internet is downstairs, so it would mean getting a new modem or drilling holes in the ceiling etc.

On top of that, there's the monthly playments, about £5 a month.

It always crashes when there's alot of action in any game.

Recently I'd been taking names in Rainbow six vegas but anytime I'm enjoying it I get screwed up the pipe by some pathetic system crash.

Anyone know what I should do?

Aside from the fact that I'd rather shoot myself then speak with Microsoft again, there's also the factor of this being an unusal problem.

The last time I had stuff like this it went into RROD territory a week or so later. Naturally I'm hoping that it isn't going there now.
