Heh, no chance of it being released here. I think we're the only country in the world that won't allow a R18+ rating. even GTAIII was banned here for a while. I've never even heard of this "Postal" series until now.

It's not just the gore. It preys on the politically incorrect. There is racial stereotyping, homophobia(there's a mission called Faggot Hunting), anthrax cow heads, a lot of decapitating, terrorist attacks, Osama Bin Laden is a charecter in Postal 2. You can vomit, make others vomit, piss on people, blow their nutsack off with a shotty, blow heads off. Also a mock of Barney with a large nutsack appears as a charecter you can kill. You can napalm people set them on fire various ways. You can also shove a pistol up a cat's ass and use the cat as a silencer.

It's just a lot of random inappropriate stuff. It's just funny to see what you can do. It's a game that even proudly boasts "BANNED in 13 Countries" in the box art.

Well, I seriously hope that Running With Scissors learns something about game creation for the 360 version. Honestly, I was so insanely excited when I first heard about Postal and Postal 2, because it is the one game that makes GTA seem like a children's game by contrast. However, I absolutely hated the gameplay and tired of it after a very short time. I completely agree with the IGN reviewer that these games, so far at least, have just been gross for the sake of being gross, without any real humor in them, at least not if you are over 11 years old and have grown out of jokes like, "Hey, pull my finger!"

I also agree with the reviews that the gameplay completely blows in these games so far.

You want to hear the odd thing? I am actually looking forward to Postal 3. Because if they can actually get some great gameplay in this game and hire some REALLY good writers for the humor, I think this serious could be classic. I think the idea and concept of Postal is absolute genius, but the implementation has been nothing short of horrible. If they can get some GTA quality humor and missions and combine all that with the really bad taste and all the politically incorrect and racist/homophobic humor, these games would be instant classics!

Sometimes I think games are made just to annoy Jack Thompson.

LMAO I would buy the game just for that, even if it was completely stupid, to be honest.

I disagree with you there Chiro about Postal 2. I loved the damn game, and even though it has some pretty annoying flaws (too many loading areas, hard to aim, expansion pack is BRUTALLY difficult, etc), I found myself laughing uncontrollably at pretty much every turn (the "Whiny Congressmen Petition" mission has some of the most brilliant dialog ever in a game like this).

Or maybe it's just because I'm a sick-minded mother*bleep*er and can relate to the Postal Dude.

Well, to each his own, Sereph. I just found the "humor" in the game to be somewhat akin to a couple of pre-pubescents sitting in a room, lighting their farts on fire and laughing hysterically at it. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE totally tasteless humor. I just think that Postal and Postal 2 was far too sophomoric and not at all funny. I do think the potential is there for a truly classic game however, but they really need to hire some very good writers for the dialog and they ABSOLUTELY need to learn what goes into good gameplay mechanics. Because, as I see it right now, Postal is nothing more than a series with amazing potential but lacking in any actual substance.
