Yeah, but Halo 2 was actually fun for more than a week and had a story and there is much more variety in Halo 2 than in Gears. Besides, they actually had a reason for things being cut and have admitted they screwed up. Epic hasn't owned up to their mistakes nor do do they have a reason for all that stuff being cut.

I love it when people talk shit about Gears because the lack of a story. People don't play games for the campaign anymore (most of the time) they play it for multiplayer. halomessenger, if GoW is so bad, why do 3x more people play it per day than Halo 2? Exactly. Shut your *bleep*ing mouth.

You should find a friend who has the game and give it a try, or rent the game before you buy it. Just to get a taste and see if you like the game, then get it. I think its a great game, but apparently some people think its horrible..

It's a good game, not the best I've ever played thought, bit too easy.

if your looking for a good third person game, there isnt that much on 360 that can beat it at this moment, of course when GTA IV and Halo 3 come out then it will be beaten into the ground. so if you can get it pretty cheap then go for it. I don't know why people were arguing about the online, he clearly said he wont be using it.

Dude, this is absurd. Telling someone something like "Until you make a better game than gears, quit criticizing it" is like going to a Doctor and he accidentally leaves a scalpel inside you while removing your Appendix, and when you confront him with this mistake, he says, "Hey, shut the hell up! Until you go to Medical School and become a better Doctor than me, stop criticizing me!"

Seriously, I have nothing against Gears and will eventually buy the game, but I am just saying.

Gears is a great online game, Halo is the same. I recommend trying both. Now as fas as campaign goes IMO Gears was better... more "Interactive" if you will. It kept me on my feet and ready for anything, even then I was still surprised.
