people on my friends list are always playing it, and i played it at my friends house and found that there is nothing great about it

Your not the only one, though i have always had a none conformist nature to me, i will not like a game because the rest of the world loves it even if i hate it... I just never really liked the game, it had potential but just like Halo to me it felt very samey.

It is overrated. The single player is very short and doesn't have a story to it. The online has 2 different game modes. The online doesn't work properly and is very broken since Epic decided not to have dedicated servers. The graphics are good but the fps drops.. A LOT. I liked it at first but after a while realized all of these flaws. It sure has potential for the second one to be good though.

Agreed to the max. I played GoW about 5 times online. I only enjoyed it once because I was playing with a big load of friends in a custom game.

It is way overrated. I really don't see what the huge appeal is about it, even though I loved the campaign, I found the online multiplayer INCREDIBLY annoying and repetative.

this game just appeals more to the competition
inclined online gamers,like halo does.

it's a genre gem.

I played through the single player mode,and it was mediocre gameplay wise,to me.

never played it online though.

Another of these threads.... Well, I enjoy the game. I don't go around trying to make other people like it, and I don't allow myself to not like it because other people don't. I like the game, but that doesn't mean you should. We all like different things. If you are dissapointed with me not arguing more in my post then I suggest you take a big nice dose of deal-with-it.

Yeah I guess you're right that it's more like 3 gametypes but no one played Assassination the way you're supposed to.. actually, no one played it period.Lol. I've always thought the game would be good for CTF. Not all of the maps would work for it but IMO many could. I'm not a fan of Gears and I do think it is overrated but I really do see a shit load of potential for the 2nd one for the online and single player. My friend read a while back that Epic sort of admitted Gears was an experiment type of thing to see if people would like it. They saw that people responded greatly to it and that they intend on fixing the problems/issues with Gears in Gears 2.
