	find out it a gamertag already exists on xbox live?? btw i know there has been a thread like this b4 but i couldnt find it....

	IDK, but you can go onto Bungie.net and search for a specific gamertag and if you get no results, then it probably doesn't exist.

	Go on Xbox.com and search for the gamertag you want and if it's taken you will've added them and if not it says request cannot be found or something like that.

	Click this link which will open up my Xbox profile, now go to the end of the url in the address bar and delete out JJBDude48. Now type in whatever you desire, if it comes up with profile not found then you can use that name for yourself. ------------------- Love Skateboarding

	If you have Live, then just go to the menu where you change your Gamertag. Type in the one you want and if it's taken, then you'll be notified of it and told to choose a new one. -------------------

	Just click hereand type the gamertag you want. If it's free then it will say "The gamertag you tried could not be found." If it's taken then it will take you to some form of profile. This is a guaranteed method from the Xbox.com site. -------------------
