That's really the point of it. Puts less restrictions on games so you don't have to worry about not having enough to put the info on.

It would also be a little more costlier of time for them to make it that way.

I love how everyone starts asking about this and wonders why Microsoft didn't go with larger discs and such only because Sony went with Blu-Ray. My mistake then about that 4x. I read that Blu-Ray reads real slow but I don't remember the speed it reads at. All I remember is that with PS3 games on Blu-Ray Discs is that a lot of them will have a really long load at the beginning and then after that it is fine. It has something to do with storing some of it onto the console to help it read faster. I read this a good few months back so my memory is vague on where I read it and what it exactly said but that's the gist of it.

Well the system takes load times because of the storage space of the discs. It is better than popping 3 or four discs in though.

Don't you mean you save some of the game on the HDD and it makes it load faster.

I honestly don't remember it completely but the article said that something has to get saved onto the PS3 HDD otherwise it would read too slow to play the BR Disc. Now that I think about that it makes sense because that would be a good reason why all PS3's have HDDs.
