I understand what this treaty is meant to do, but it won't change anything. There are no legal ties to whom ever signs it and even with 1000 signatures, it won't stop the remaining fanboys from attacking. I'm all for the poetical death of fanboys, but what would signing this treaty really accomplish?

Well, that's pretty much what the moderator is doing anyways, so this treaty doesn't exactly do much in that respect.

That's funny, trying to reach an agreement between mortal enemies. It's like trying to get a lion and a gazelle to become friends. It's never gonna happen.

Hehe, sure when you put it like that. I'm just against fanboys in general, so I signed up.

Also, there's a "console war" thread? If I'd have known there was a thread specifically for console bashing, putting my name on this list would have seemed like less of a good idea.

"specifically for console bashing" isnt a good way to put it, uzamaki, console feature debates are more like what they are supposed to be, but in the end they all just turn into Flame Wars by unreasonable fanboys whos only logic for saying their console is the best is "because Sony/Nintendo/Microsoft said so" and that is why such threads are locked in the wii forum, as that is where fanboys thrive. I have watched as Wii has been flamed by Sereph, Finalblade, and Weskraudan, lately not so much for the two Latter, but the former is the worst. People like that should have a nice little tag above their account name that says "Perma Ban".

While we're at it, can we call for peace in the middle east between the Hebrews and Arabs?

Steel, I don't think that he was trying to be theatening. I don't agree with everything he said, but I like the fact that he was brave enough to suggest what he did in the forums, even though there is nothing that could stop the rabid fanboyism. So while his ideas may be naive and unrealistic, I agree with him at least in spirit anyway. Not that you or any other Moderator should start disallowing fanboys or console debates, only that there is something noble about what he is suggesting.

Chiro I know what you mean and I can see the logic in the principle of it. But it's never going to work either via the method he suggested or any other method. That's why I am so against it. It's not that I am against the idea of stopping fanboy rants etc. it's just that I am against the idea of wasting my time on things which will never happen.

If you actually think about it there isn't a console war at all, its only the the fanboys who takes it to new levels every day and time. For instance Nintendo could care less what Sony and MS is doing. Yet fanboys say, omg We are kicking the crap out of PS3 and 360, we rule. See its really the fanboys who makes the war, and turn into a flame war. Sony and MS are in competition with each other but not like how the fanboys make it out to be. However there is nothing wrong regular fanboys its only the people who want to flame.

But I think what Existenz means is we benefit from the so called console war, so she will back it up if it means the continuation of next gen consoles.

I think Sereph means if were going to stop console flame wars then we could stop the Hebrews and Arabs from fighting.

But since we can't do anything on that, we can't do anything on this.
