As some of you may know, the premium package of the 360 is starting to be manufactured and sold with an HDMI port, a major selling point for the Elite. Now with the Elite losing one of the main selling points, so now all it has is the 120GB HDD.

Now, MS isn't stupid, they know it's a major selling point. So next year, most likely in time for a new hot game, there will be at least one new feature for the Elite and the Premium will continue to get the Elite's hand-me-downs (120GB HDD and others). What the new feature is for next year remains to be seen but I speculate built-in wireless or bigger HDD or both.

I wish they would just sell one console with all the features, like they used to. The whole point in consoles is so you can just buy it and feel like you don't have to upgrade every 5 minutes, but seemingly not anymore. Who needs 120Gb HDD anyway, seriously? I use about 10GB of mine max.

Uh, I would die for a 120 GB drive. You can put more on there. That's the whole point if you play a lot of games and download a bunch of goodies from the Marketplace.

Game saves take minimal space, demos you have no reason to keep much longer than a week, the rest is just junk. You don't need anything more than 20gb surely! Thinking about this more makes me rage actually, I find this kind of thing scandalous. You should be able to buy a console and that's it, sorted. That's how it always used to be. I think we need some sort of online petition to stop these guys stealing from us and convincing us we need things we don't. The core package is below minimum standard by miles aswell, it's a disgrace.

Agreed, I'm nowhere near filling up my 20GB, the only demo I still have is Stuntman:Igntion, not got round to playing it yet. I delete them after I've played them for a while.

If you've never downloaded TV episodes or movies from the Marketplace, or even large map makes, then you might not use a lot of space.

But when you bring up long-term use of your 360, a 120GB drive could go a long way for that time.

And I never bought the core system, specifically of the reason it's be stripped down so much. I went ahead and bought the premium.
