My TV has a HDMI slot in it, I bought my 360 mid-July. Will HD work, and do I need to buy any additional cables?

Oh. My TV also has a slot to hook my PC up to if that helps...

Does your 360 have a HDMI slot?

The original 360 has an SDTV/HDTV flick on the AV input, that will determine whether you're viewing in HD (only if you have an HDTV) or SD.

The Xbox 360 Elite has an HDMI slot and that's one of its advantages over the regular 360 so you are able to view things in 1080p which is the fullest form of HD.

Okay, from your 360 there should be two different wires running out the back of it yeah ?

The one which is not connected to the power brick should have a little switch on the part closest to the 360, it'll say "HDTV" for one option and I think the other is "SDTV", but essentialy you wnat to have the switch on HDTV.

You mean Component, and yes the Premium 360 comes standard with HD AV cables which allows up to 1080i.

Component. That's what I meant. There's a such thing as a HDAV cable.

So I just hook it up as normal... 'cept flick that switch...?

Yep that's all there is to it, flicking that switch will enable HD. Youi may also want to alter some settings on the Dashboard's system settings to change the types of HD, I recommened either 720p or 1080p, I stick with 1080i though. =)


Also, if you TV is Full HD (1080p) it can run the 36o's 1080p option which looks very nice.
