Von Karma Question [Episode 4] |
|
SPOILERS
DO NOT READ THIS UNLESS YOU HAVE COMPLETED EPISODE 4! I have a question about Von Karma's motives in Episode 4. Why did he want to kill Hammond and frame Edgeworth? I can understand why Yanni Yogi would have a motive to execute the plan, but why would Von Karma want to suggest it in the first place? I mean think about it... he has no grudge against Miles Edgeworth; if he did, why would he have had Miles as his pupil? Moreover, he doesn't have any grudge against Hammond (at least not stated in the game). He also was not present for the DL-6 trial as he was off healing his injury. So technically speaking, he has no reason to want to go ahead with this plan. The statute of limitations on DL-6 was about to run out - if Von Karma was the culprit (which he was) and no one suspected him, why not just let it run out? He'd have been totally free of the thing. Why bring it up on the day it runs out, trying to pin it on someone else? Either I missed a major detail somewhere, or this is a plothole. Don't misunderstand, I thought the story twist was well done... it's just it feels strange, if he had no motive to do this. ------------------- ![]() | |
