Yogi held a grudge against Miles (thinking he was the cause of the murder and the ruining of his life) and Hammond (since as a defense attorney he made him feign insanity, thereby ruining his life). von Karma only played on this as a way for him to tie up loose ends. A von Karma strives to be perfect afterall, and I guess he had to do this before the statue of limitations ran out. To feel... complete, I supppose...
