I agree with Jackle90, if you like jet fighters this game is awesome and I haven't a clue why it was discontinued. This is definitely the gran turismo of aircrafts and there's over 70 total to choose from(I have 72)and all differ in control and performance. I purchased a sealed copy on ebay for $35.00("BUY IT NOW" auction) about a month ago which was a steal considering how much it usually sells for. All I can say is if you want the gran turismo of jet fighters this game won't disappoint.

I have been searching through local buyers trying to get a copy of the game, all with no luck. I think I may be waiting for ever to play this game.

I found this used at a store by my house. Gamestop. They have it listed for 44.95$ U.S. and then you get an additional 10% for having a membership. I am sorry but I don't think I could help you get this unless you have modified your region locking.

I looked for this game forever and have found that it HAS been discontinued. Go to any online source for video games and you will see that it is unavailable (sites selling older used copies for over $100 notwithstanding). There are a ton of sites that show it as an available item, but when you click on it to buy, it will say out of stock, unavailable, etc. I did finally find a copy about two weeks ago in a used shop for $52 and picked it up. I had a hard time spending that kind of money for a used game, but it's impossible to find. That is the only used copy that I have ever seen and I've been looking for this game for a while.

You can even go to the "official" X-Box site and look the game up. When you click on the "purchase it now" button, you will find that it is unavailable. I'm not sure why it has been discontinued, but I know it vanished before 9/11/01 happened. I've been looking for this thing for over a year.

That's a VERY good price from what I've seen. The gameplay is pretty mindless (i.e. you just fly around shooting missles when you get a lock), but it's fun. Kind of like the old Afterburner game.

I struggled to find this game onneoseeker because my copy is called "DEADLY SKIES".

It might be worth looking under that name. Every copy I've seen has this name- I've seen the game air force delta storm- but it IS the same game. It's probably a continental thing.

GOD DAMNIT IVE SEEN THIS GAME for a while and Im a PS2 fan but ive been wanting an Xbox for a while seeing as its the only american machine out there and Im a great fan of AC-4 (Ace Combat 4) always loved the Ace Combat games and I was hoping to get this game when i got a Xbox but it took them forever to freaking lower the price down so in closing GOD DAMNIT WHY DID THEY DISCONTINUE THIS !!!!!!!!!!

I must admit that I am surprised that this game even garnered enough interest to start a post. Since I was a big fan of computer flight sims and a big fan of the ACE COMBAT series, I figured Delta Storm was a must have for the XBOX. However, upon renting it, I was in shock over how bad the game was.

I guess I can attribute it to having played AC04 first on PS2. AC04 was so good on PS2, that I was playing it non-stop for over 2-months, during which time I completed the game on Ace level with every plane. Delta Storm lasted all but 30-minutes on my game console before I kicked myself for having rented it and immediately turned it back in.

For one, the game controls seem sluggish and the feeling of accelerating is not there when you pick up speed. Also, size is disproportionate, as some vehicles and buildings either seem to big or too small compared to your plane. And the soundtrack is just terrible, as opposed to the AC04 soundtrack, for which I recorded several songs on tape to listen to while I jog. In fact, I turned down the volume and listened to my music instead while playing Delta Storm. They must have hired some band that makes music for adult movies because the music was that corny.

I guess what I am trying to say, is if you have a PS2, buy AC04 which is now $19.95 and see what a real flight sim game is supposed to be like. The gameplay, the music, the graphics, the controls, the planes; it is all top notch.

And although Delta Storm did get taken off because of 9-11, I have a feeling the folks that created Delta Storm, were too embarrassed about the game and removed it from the shelves. I usually do not rip on games, but this game is just terrible. If you have not purchased the game yet, then save your money for a real game and just skip this one. I am just floored that this game can go above $19.95 on a clearance rack.

im not trying to offend americans but, dammit this trade centre attack was massive yes, but its over. Bringing back footage of the buildings being stable and not buring would bring back good memories. this game looks amazing and should still be made. and you people seem to be mad thats its so costly and not avail. anyway.

First of all, someone said this game was discontinued before 9/11? That's funny because Xbox wasn't even out yet.
Second, if you pay $80 or whatever for this game, you are getting ripped off. The game has awesome graphics and cool planes, but it's extremely repetitive. Not much replay value once you beat it and get all the planes. (If you are patient enough to even do that) I have it and I guess I'll sell it on ebay if dumbasses are really buying this game for that price.
