a starting point?

Hi, I'm totally new to this game, or should I say, fairly new to gba games as a whole. Could someone point me to a starting point? I'm more of a visual/graphical person, so other than the text-based walkthrough that's everywhere and the official strategy guide, is there any graphical resource I can find on the web to get myself started? Thanks!

re: a starting point?

I don't think I see anything visual that can help you out. But, don't worry, the game is pretty self explanatory. You press A to "Accept", and B to go "back". And the direction keys to move a cursor or character around. Don't worry, with all the dialouge in the game, it will make things easy to get to, there isn't really anything hard to get to in this game, since the worlds a pretty small.

re: a starting point?

I guess my question now is sort of around which traning to take and in what order, when I get points, who should I give the points to (me or my partner?), and once I gain a level, where do I place that level under? I think I have seen posts here saying do Power and Speed first, is that true? What about the second set of attributes, which ones of them would be more important?

re: a starting point?

If you look around the training area outdoors, talk to some people, there are some of them who can teach you about the stats in Leveling up. You should equalize the exp between both players, because as you level up, you and your partner get better. So for doubles, you want you and your partner to be good.

If I answered I wanted to play solo at the beginning of the game, should I still level my partner up?

I usually kept it even. I would split the exp gained and put it half me, half my partner.

Yes, I kept it even, but I forgot on the 1-up mushrooms, I gave all but one to Clay, so Ace only got 1.

re: a starting point?

Why don't you give more to yourself? Not a lot more, just a little. It helps in singles becuz then your not that far behind from the characters you face.

re: a starting point?

Well the thing is, I wasn't even to level 22 before I beat it. It was way easier to beat the game than to level up a lot, and beat it.

re: a starting point?

I acceled in both doubles and singles. I found out that as long as you are in junior doubles, you can't go to the training courts, or PS hall with you partner, but if you have senior or higher, you can. It was kind of wierd...

re: a starting point?

I have wondered why Nintendo and Camelot have done a lot of things in this game. Why so many balls left out on the Junior Courts. What is up with the random few red bags instead of blue,(I think there is 5). I wonder many things about it and other topics....

re: a starting point?

Yeah, they always keep you wondering...Anyway, Nintendo and Camelot messed up a little on this game but I think they did a overall pretty good job.
